Die Frontmodule sind mit fast allen auf dem Markt verfügbaren Kupplungen und Pigtails erhältlich. Der Unterschied zu den Spleißmodulen ist der fehlende Geräteträger mit Wickelmechanismus. Die Frontmodule sind für den Einbau in den 1HE – Baugruppenträger entwickelt. Im Gegensatz zum Spleißmodul haben diese keine Grundträger mit Wickelmechanismus und werden „nicht abgesetzt“ geliefert.
