The heart of the modular fiber system from Fiber Products is a 3U subrack for 7HP and 8HP splice modules with a winding mechanism. These modules have the advantage that the risk of damage to the already installed cables in the splice trays is avoided when extensions are made. This means that the existing cables are not moved and the risk of an old hollow tube breaking is minimal.
Furthermore, it is not necessary to remove the subracks.
A maximum of 12 splice modules, each with up to 24 fibers (LC or E2000), can be accommodated in the 3U subrack. 3 front modules each in the 1U subracks. This means that up to 288 fibers are possible in the 3U version or 72 fibers in the 1U version.
